Exactly! The only drawback, of course, is you gotta sacrifice underside
detail and sturdiness. But, big baseplates do end up reducing the overall
weight of the model. My carrier was actually pretty light. It had lots of
tiny pieces that contributed to it's overall count. It's nice that you added
a regualr plate in the middle so that you could extend the detail of the
underside.

Yep, yep. It's an eyecatching design, dude. Kinda like the medical frigate
at the end of "Empire."

| (...) <snip> (...) You noticed that...heh... :^) I would prefer two white plates as opposed to grey. Those plates are there to allow me to attach underside modules and to easily remove the modules afterwards. They also allowed me add the underside (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

| (...) Thanks, Dan! :^) Tim Courtney told me a little while back that he had a high ratio of plates to bricks that enabled the completion and look of his joint destroyer project. But you really have to be thrifty when your ratios are more like 1 (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)
