I would have liked for more people to have CS shirts, but LEGO was very
concerned about their copyright being diluted.

Yeah, it's too bad they are concerned about stopping anyone who would assist
them in becoming the most recognizable name in children's toys by the year 2005.
Oops...that's exactly what they wanted, now wasn't it?

It's sad when a company is worried about the misuse and abuse of a logo they
haven't used in more than a decade, rather than offering up a product designed
to please the very customers who made that logo popular. So what if today's
children don't know what classic space (Blacktron, M-tron, etc.) is? They never
bought it and don't have an opportunity to do so now due to a company's greed.
Why won't TLG revisit any of the older themes? I can't answer that as I can't
think the way a megaconglomerategiantcorporation does. I think like an
individual does. I like what I like, and that's all that I like. (apologies to
Popeye the Sailor).

The bottom line doesn't interest me, good products do. If TLG wants it's
customers to buy up the trash that is the 2001 Star Wars line, then they'd
better start creating sets that don't look like they were designed by 2nd.
graders. If TLG won't produce classic space products, at least produce something
as good, if not better. Too bad TLG cares more about the quantity (shipped)
rather than the quality of it's products. At this rate, they are well on their
way to becoming the most recognizable toy company in the world. All they have to
do is continue following the plan Mattel laid out for them: fewer, larger, more
colorful pieces in a box to match. Quality? What's that?

I can't wait until the 2005 release of the age 3+ Technic sets with 12 pieces!

Mark. It's probably because I was contacted by LEGO and asked to remove the shirts. I shut down the store as soon as I received notice. I would guess that your order was pending when I shut down the store, so it didn't ship even though you placed (...) (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)
