Here’s a new MOC, it’s a Spider Tank Mech:

I’ll do a MOCpage when the site’s back up.
This MOC was heavily inspired by (but not a faithful replica of) a spider tank
featured in the anime Ghost in the Shell--Stand Alone Complex. It’s seen in
each opening sequence, and is featured in (I think) episode 2 of the series.
Wheels are mounted in the feet to allow higher speeds on flat surfaces than you
would get just by walking.
The Spider Tank represents a lot of firsts for me. It’s my first (posted)
multi-ped mech, after drooling over Soren’s and Mladen’s for years. This is
also my first blay MOC. What can I say, it’s the only solid color I had the
Rescue Chopper canopy part in (well, that and the click joints...) Finally,
it’s my first time using the click-rotating hinges (yeah, I build reeeeaally
slow). The four “hips” have three axes of rotation, and each “knee” has two,
which allows for some good range of motion (for one of my mechs anyway). I’m
thinking about a good pose to submit for the mech pose contest.

| (...) Oh that is nice. I love the way you got wheels in the "feet", and the iconic Vrieze half-pin missile packs are always a hit with me. | Man wow. You desreve all the praise heaped onto you here. I only got this for ya. Photography, lighten up the black so we can see it. The cockpit shot is almost useless because all we see is black. | Okay I'm really late to the show, but I've been playing catch up and this is one of the cooler mecha I've seen. First off, the colour scheme adds so much to this.
