First off, the colour scheme adds so much to this. Don’t you dare add any highlights! =^P It makes it a lot harder and sleeker, not to mention realistic. This whole mecha has a clean ruggedness that very few mecha nail dead on like you did. I actually think that clear lights instead of the yellow you have there now would add more to that feel.

I think you’re right, clear 1x1s would look cool there. I wish I had some! One of these days I will finally break down and try Bricklink...

The design is really tight. (tight in both senses of the word) It’s quite obvious that this has gone through a long period of refinement, which is awesome. All the shapes fit together really nicely, and there isn’t anything extra and pointless thrown on top for the heck of it. This whole mecha is a sweet lesson in keeping it to the point without letting design tangents hinder the overall shape.

The way you tucked in the missile launcher on the back is awesome. You did a really good job of making it an integral part of the design rather than a box slapped on the back. I love this mecha, it’s so nicely packaged.

I freaking love the wheels, they give it a sense of true functionality, and they look darn cool.

Thanks for the compliments! This MOC really came together a lot better than I anticipated. I wish I could plan this kind of thing out in advance, but a lot of it was just fortuitious. I will say, though, that the wheels, the nose gun, and the entire white section went through a lot of revisions.

I agree with Soren that the one sore spot of this mecha is the middle section. It really doesn’t matter cause it’s the only spot of the mecha that’s not involved in conveying a particular shape (and it doesn’t need to either) but it just doesn’t fit with the overall feel of being tidily packaged.

Yeah, the middle section still bothers me when I look at it. On the plus side, it’s a good spot where I can pick it up and not break any parts off.

Awesome mecha, I can’t wait to see what you do next, but take your time. =^P

see ya
