Okay Im really late to the show, but Ive been playing catch up and this is one
of the cooler mecha Ive seen.
First off, the colour scheme adds so much to this. Dont you dare add any
highlights! =^P It makes it a lot harder and sleeker, not to mention realistic.
This whole mecha has a clean ruggedness that very few mecha nail dead on like
you did. I actually think that clear lights instead of the yellow you have there
now would add more to that feel.
The design is really tight. (tight in both senses of the word) Its quite
obvious that this has gone through a long period of refinement, which is
awesome. All the shapes fit together really nicely, and there isnt anything
extra and pointless thrown on top for the heck of it. This whole mecha is a
sweet lesson in keeping it to the point without letting design tangents hinder
the overall shape.
The way you tucked in the missile launcher on the back is awesome. You did a
really good job of making it an integral part of the design rather than a box
slapped on the back. I love this mecha, its so nicely packaged.
I freaking love the wheels, they give it a sense of true functionality, and they
look darn cool.
I agree with Soren that the one sore spot of this mecha is the middle section.
It really doesnt matter cause its the only spot of the mecha thats not
involved in conveying a particular shape (and it doesnt need to either) but it
just doesnt fit with the overall feel of being tidily packaged.

What you did underneath the cockpit to tie the gun into the rest of the body is
so cool.
Awesome mecha, I cant wait to see what you do next, but take your time. =^P
see ya

Heres a new MOC, its a Spider Tank Mech:
brickshelf gallery
Ill do a MOCpage when the sites back up.
This MOC was heavily inspired by (but not a faithful replica of) a spider
tank featured in the anime Ghost in the Shell--Stand Alone Complex. Its
seen in each opening sequence, and is featured in (I think) episode 2 of the
series. Wheels are mounted in the feet to allow higher speeds on flat
surfaces than you would get just by walking.
The Spider Tank represents a lot of firsts for me. Its my first (posted)
multi-ped mech, after drooling over Sorens and Mladens for years. This is
also my first blay MOC. What can I say, its the only solid color I had the
Rescue Chopper canopy part in (well, that and the click joints...) Finally,
its my first time using the click-rotating hinges (yeah, I build reeeeaally
slow). The four hips have three axes of rotation, and each knee has two,
which allows for some good range of motion (for one of my mechs anyway).
Im thinking about a good pose to submit for the mech pose contest.
Cross-posted to .space cuz Lenny featured it in his highlight sidebar.
Thanks Lenny!
Hope you all enjoy, lemme know if you have suggestions...
