  Re: MINIMUM-SPACE-POD

(...) You know Kotaro, I am French, and I leave in Taiwan, in a Chinese environment (and something of Japanese culture still remains here ;-)). English is not my mother tongue, like many of the posters on Lugnet. And I understand, I know that (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The "44"

(...) Ouch- you're killing me! Hmm, though it would be interesting to see how you make the translation. I see this model as defined by certain parts- the lattice wings and big curvy nose pieces in particular, and those would have to be done totally (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The "44"

(...) The parts over the cargo space are a plate taller, so there would be a larger flat surface exposed above the radar dish. That could possibly be solved by mounting the dish differently and moving it up a bit, but the engineering gets (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The "44"

(...) Gads, that's a horrible image. I was raised on Smokey and the Bandit, too. I was picturing more of a smuggler's broken-down freighter like in the Wild West episode of the original Battlestar Galactica, but I kind of like the Burt Reynolds (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Hi, JP. (...) I wanna print your word "clean design ----- JP" on a picture of my work. X-) Words of praise from YOU has special meaning for me. Thank you. (...) Ya, this year I will visit LUGNET.space more than usual. But as you see, our English are (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: X-Wing Mark IV

Thank you for your compliments. I also do not like the color choices on the UCS x-wing. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they chose to do that. The person who got rich off my obsessive tile purchase is Lego themselves. Tiles are one of my (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The "44"

(...) Yes, the big curves do dominate the nose of the ship visually. But you gotta have plenty of room for coolant and the big magnetic whatchamadoos. Those are the only guns on the ship, and the idea is that the ship is built around them. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Hello Dave, The really cool circular piece comes from the 7256 Jedi Starfighter™ and Vulture Droid™ ((URL)) set. (2 URLs) I hope that that helps some. ;) Daniel Jackson biochron@geekbrick.com (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Penguins

Well there are many things I like here. First off I love the rear of the ship, nice taper job there, the front/cockpit area are excellent and compliment the shape of the whole thing, and finally the color choices are superb. All around a great (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: What's the hardest part of an MOC?

For me, it is when you get about two thirds the way through, and start to have this feeling that you may not have enough brick to finish it the way you want. So then you get about three quarters the way through, and you start to realize that you are (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MINIMUM-SPACE-POD

Hi Kotaro! Your POD is already famous, everyone in .space and CS forum seem to dribble looking at it! Very clever use of parts, very neat and clean design. You and your fellows from the ilsand of the rising sun have to come and post more often here! (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: What's the hardest part of an MOC?

Hello! For me the hardest part is to connect two seperately developed modules. Since I haven't built any noteworthy space MOC yet I can only speak of Castle MOCs, so e.g. if I have a concept for a gate and build it and I have a concept for a rear (...) (20 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MINIMUM-SPACE-POD

Thank you Ley. I've read the talk you pointed out, and feel so very sad our Admiral showed intention of his honorable retirement. :-p (Thank you Chris !) At first, I want the pod's landing-gear hide inside, but of-course it was impossible. So I (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

(...) And here you learn another NEW lesson: What happens when you forget to activate/deactivate FTX before replying ;-) Your MOCs are sooooo NOT fair! :-) You can't just debut AND be a good builder at the same time! This stuff is way too cool. (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Space casino Columbia

Wow, great stuff, Kenn. Very cool idea for ship and well-executed. But what I'm most fond of is your cast of characters. They really bring the joint to life--some of the most fun aliens and humanoid creations I've seen rendered in LEGO. Captures the (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
