So, um, would that make it pre-Classic Space? (not PCS)
I just realized that Ive never owned any Classic Space sets. Other than a few
pieces in some used lots I bought a long time ago. Dang. Even our own Major Tom
has been lying to us about his exploits in orbit.
It turns out he must have come with the Coast
Guard Station in the collection I received from one of my younger brothers. So
hes pre Space altogether. My illusions are all dissed...

To pick a nit further, 462 Rocket Launcher, 483 Space Cruiser, 493 Space Command Center, 885 Space Scooter, and the minifig packs from 1978 weren't officially "Space" until they were grouped into that theme.
