That was my first space set too. I bought three so I could build,
umm...castles. (now
whos more eviller.)
My first set that I recall was the Fire
Station but Im sure I had smaller sets before that. The first Lego in our
house was a box of used Lego that my parents bought for my youngest brother in
about 1971. Ah, polychromatic houses...good times...
I only regret that I never bought the Rocket
Base when I could have... I believe that was the first space set, but I leave
that to Gary Istok to clarify. The man is a most valuable resource. (And, can
make most of us feel young like Mr Sandlin.)
Peace and memories,
Professor Whateverly
