I think the main problem with this is that color combinations are pretty
subjective. Some people might put yellow elements behind a blue windscreen and
think it looks great, while others may not like that look. Some people like
black against black, while others don't like it because there's no contrast.
Also, due to reflections and such, if you use varying colors in the cockpit,
elements may look different as you add other elements around them.
