Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(URL) ( Click it, dummies ) So I figure I made you guys squirm enough after that preview a couple weeks ago, so here you go. I built this over a period of 3 months this summer. It's highly influenced by Paul Baulch and Ken-tucky, two microfig (...) (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !!

Beautiful design and superb integration of decorated pieces. AWESOME greebling throughout. The upside-down slopes for the nose are really slick! Dave (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) Thanks Dave! The nose was about the second thing that I built on this ship, and maybe the only part that didn't change drastically as the ship progressed. I was really pleased how those parts fit together to make those angles. -- Kyle (2 URLs) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I do, I do! It's slick! It's gorgeous! It's... funny? You really threw the kitchen sink at your dark gray greebled areas. What I found humorous was (URL) this shot>... with the jackhammer, the pickaxe, and the circular saw, this looks just (...) (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) Yea, I'm afriad I went a little overboard on the minifig tools as greeblies on this one. I'd have prefered they look more mechanical and fit in better. But I redid the greeblies in that area 5 times or more, and I was getting tired of it! And (...) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Jean-Pascal Rignault
Very nice design Kyle! I love the massive engine block, the greebling is awesome, the color scheme and the use of printed slopes is very impressive. I like the style and looking of the section between the head and the main body (so let's call it (...) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) Yea, It's supposed to look like the hull was kinda cut away in those areas. Not exactly sure why, but I thought it looked cool. ;D I had thought about covering the "ribs" as I call it with removable hull plating, but it looked too cool for (...)         Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Paul Baulch
(...) Hmmm, let's see... Crisply delineated colour use for painted hull effect... check Liberal application of slopes... check Well-defined mechanical greeble areas... check Eye-catching overall form... CHECK Overly huge engine nozzle... check SNOT (...) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) Thanks Paul! I was having a hard time keeping this ship from looking like a scaled down Lance of Athena. I think you highlighted my faviorate parts of the ship already, glad you approve. This was my first (mostly) studless ship, so I had to (...) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Allister McLaren
(...) This is a really beautifully rendered ship Kyle. The greebling and where it's put in particular is outstanding - I'm taking notes. When I saw the preview shot you released all that time ago, I thought it was going to be a minifig scale ship. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) You're not the first to mention that. I mainly put it there because it was my last dark red part to use on this ship. I spose it is kinda a large concentration of color unlike the rest of the ship. Glad you liked it otherwise, thanks! -- Kyle (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —John Henry Kruer
(...) /me delurks Awesome Kyle- it's nice to see that dead people CAN come back to life. And what a way. This is an awesome moc. I love it- I like the slight bluntness of the front, (although I agree that the red piece always makes me think that (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Keppler Industies Update ( Yes, really!) —Kyle Keppler
(...) Thanks John! My reasoning with the greys was dark grey was the greeblie machinery while the light grey is the big bulky support members of the frame and such. As for the microfig, I had planned to add more windows throughout to give it a more (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
