  Re: The Third Column

(...) Wow! This is beautiful, Joseph! When I saw this on brickshelf I thought it was some scratchbuilt model (the kind you build with foam, glue, etc.) Then I enlarged the pics and just got blown away by the clever part usage. The front cabin, (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Third Column

(...) Cool! I agree with Will about the spine being a real highlight (though I don't mind the pipe wrench). I also have to agree with him about the plain-ness of the plated engine section. Some of my past MOCs have had too many blank plated areas, (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Third Column

(...) And a nice one. Very nice one! The use of the boat hull isn't new, but you integrate it very smoothly. Nice front canopy, its curve matches the hull nicely. Cheers, JP. (21 years ago, 1-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Third Column

I really like that. The ship hulls are an unexpectedly neat trick, and the detailing and weapons on the spine, plus the shape of the spine itself, are awesome. FWIW, I think the adjustable spanner looks a bit out of place, but I love the rest. Have (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Mining waldo

(...) Hmm. Without wishing to turn this into off-topic.geek fodder, I think that the flamey thing would melt the cheese, which would then clog up the works. Toast seems more practical, but would require a deft touch on the trigger to avoid excess (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.space)

Thanks for the comments, and glad you like it. I hadn't intended to get you fired, but that's how these things work out sometimes, I guess... (...) Highly reccomend the big 4404 and wee 4505 designer sets as a good source of matching-coloured bits, (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.space)

I wasn't gonna reply to this 'cause I read that you just picked up a couple of bits and bobs and then built this awesome little creation; it made me so sick I just went up to my boss and asked for the afternoon off. Sweet Waldo, Will! You think it's any good at digging cheese out of the moon? Or is it better at making toast? (...) A *handbag*? This I gotta see. I dig your photography. Makes the whole thing look like it's been dipped in honey. Mmmm! -Teddy (21 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.space)
