    HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
Hi Everyone, I'm proud to anounce my HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter, the newest of my creations. (Yeah I know I've been slack lately) I created this after I saw a very cool picture in a Playstation game ad for the game Silpheed. (URL) Mark's Lego (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space) !

You can't say you've been slack recently...I haven't officially released something in a (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mladen Pejic
WOW! I'm impressed and amazed at the detail on it! The cockpit and the sliding canopy are awesome, not to mention all those huge (and destructive -yikes!) weapons mounted everywhere on it. Oh boy, my "DarkFog" would be destroyed before it even (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
(...) Heh. Thanks. I haven't even thought of what role this starfighter might play, though it would definitely be that of a Heavy Starfighter, perhaps anti-capital ship. (...) Yeah, I knew all that. Basically, I was just feeling too lazy to put (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

RE: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Bram Lambrecht
(...) slick and realistic looking...except for that giant gun hanging off the bottom. I think it would look much more streamlined and plausible without it... --Bram Bram Lambrecht BXL34@po.cwru.edu (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
(...) I kind of like it. I figure it would serve as an anti-capital ship weapon, perhaps with limited shots, or some kind of reactor that took time to recharge in between shots. As for being streamlined... heck, it's space, man! :^) In any case, I (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Yeah, that's the one thing that made me do the doggie-head-tilt- "rarf?"-manoeuvre. The giant honkin' ingot. But it looks great, very, well, bludgeony. Would it be too risque to call your fighter, dare I say it, "well-hung?" (...) I first saw (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Tony Hafner
(...) Risque, perhaps... but extremely appropriate. Very nice ship, Mark! Nice form, nice colors, very detailed. I've been thinking of trying out a similar canopy arrangment, but hadn't gotten around to it yet. Looks very good on that model. I can't (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
(...) Aw, heck. Now you've done it. I suppose now I gotta start thinking of ways to make a variable fighter. I'll probably undertake that challenge in a couple weeks, after I've had some time to stew up a few strategies and let some people see the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Nathan Falslev
(...) I love it! It looks like a cross between an F-22 and a Wraith. Although I realize you were building it after something, so you were probably trying to make it look as much like the picture as possible, that large, belly mounted, gun would look (...)         Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Patrick Justison
Mark, I'm impressed! Very slick looking starfighter design. Anti-capital ship? It should serve well under that role. It would attack with that large belly mounted energy weapon? Does it have other defenses? My anti-capital ship design is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
(...) Thanks Pat, I really just copied the cool picture and then sort of decided that it should be an anit-capital starfighter ;^) There is, of course, the large cannon mounted ventrally, then there are the four large laser cannons on the wings, and (...)      (...) Slack?! It usually takes me months to build anything (when I'm inspired, I can build more quickly... the F-15 took 3 weeks, the Optimus took a month... on the Other hand the mini Black Cat has seen the better part of 3 months and it's still (...)          Re: HSF-100 Ibis Starfighter —Mark Sandlin
(...) Heh. Well, I meant "slack" compared to my usual pace, and what people have come to expect from me. :^) Everything on my website has been built since late March. I tend to build in the evenings after work. It helps me unwind, and since we don't (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.space)
