  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) These are some good ideas. I don't think there are enough subthemes to justify such a detailed organization system at the moment, but I will keep this idea in mind for the future. Thanks for the input! ~Kevin Blocksidge (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Teaser: Classic Space Moonbase Fusion Power Plant

Thanks : ) The word tokamak is a contraction of 3 russian words that describe the toriodal vessel that magnetic confinement fusion experiments use. It'll be in the dome once I build it. (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  New small spacecraft MOC's

I have two new models to announce, in addition to the P-38 entry I (URL) posted yesterday>. (...) Way cool...like it...may use it myself, or ideas therefrom... But what's a tokamak (the little shoulder guy sez "anything it wants to")??? Peace and Long Life, Tw0nst3r tw0nst3r@earthlink.net (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) The only confusing thing here is the terminology! How about we use the term "personal subtheme" instead of "personal universe" because I don't see why the term "subtheme" can only apply to something that others can contribute to. The (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) Just build'em folks. Have fun...design away....create stories if you like. Just don't get so hung up on themes and such that the build becomes secondary. Build. Build. Build. The rest will come naturally. Best -G (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) Hi Kevin, what you might want to consider is categorisation by role... after all, a subtheme/faction is typically designed with a particular role (or at least a primary role) in mind. Military Police Emergency services Exploration Other (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) See, this is where I think a lot of confusion comes in. We're talking about two different things - personal universes and subthemes. PU's are such where people can make them as detailed as they want or as strict as they want - it is the right (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New windshield, 4667 JackStone

(...) I picked one up awhile back. Kind of nifty parts. I don't know how I'm going to use the shovels yet, but I've got the canopy in a MOC I'm currently working on. --(URL) SteveR> (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) I agree. May I suggest an ideological/vocational categorisation of the subtheme page. That way I can skip right to the pirates and see them all on one page, or the traders, or the fascist dictators, etc... (...) I don't think that any person (...)   Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) I'd definitely like a way to graphically arrange all of these subthemes (it looks like there could be a LOT of them), because it'd be nice to have them all arranged using some nice visual presentation. Perhaps an ideological/vocational map (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

(...) Being in the process of developing my own subtheme, I have a few thoughts on the issue. First and foremost, I had a bad reaction to reading the suggestion that there would be a vote on which subthemes were considered "official". Maybe the (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Teaser: Classic Space Moonbase Fusion Power Plant

(...) Jason, Neat, you so rarely see industrial designs for moonbase, and you wonder where the juice to power all the espresso machines comes from. It also reminds me a bit of the power generators on Hoth in Empire Strikes back. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: .space Subtheme Guide

Again, it was just an idea. Certainly it's not something you want to impose on someone, but some of y'all seem to find it fun, so I put it out there anyway. I'll probably let you guys take it from here, as I'm not really one of the core .spacers (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  My P-38 entry

I emailed this entry on the 30th, but didn't get the rest of the pics up until now. It's black and blue with SNOT wings and I think it's quite swooshable. (URL) if you prefer Brickshelf: (URL) haven't been very active in space lately, but it's (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)
