  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) (URL) Yes I saw your nice creation when I was messing around on brickshelf to post my pictures and thought "grr, someone already made a mini Dalek". :-) I don't know why I suddenly started making Daleks. It was a random brain event. K (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) There was a later Dr Who episode where a Dalek sort of hovers up a flight of stairs to everyone's amazement, but that was a more advanced Dalek. For the old style Daleks the best choice is just to smash everything flat. :-) Minifig Daleks are (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) That's what happens when you invade the Earth in a time period prior to government mandated handicapped access. You've got a very slick TARDIS there too, and a K9, heh, and a sonic screwdriver. K (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) I knew that, but I found that the extra stud height allowed me to make it look much more Dalek-like. Frankly I don't think that the height discrepancy matters too much - but then I'm not a fanatical Dr. Who fan :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

Thanks for the explainations Ryan! I am always amazed by the creativity shown here. One more SNOT (morve...) technic in my to-try-and-study note book! Cheers, JP. (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC times three

(...) I suspect we'll see some really cool stuff when the xpods are more available. (...) Yeah, It's definitely different than Chris's styling. The color and design matches the larger ship it will go with, which hopefully you'll see more PCS in. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) I did do a dalek a while ago, but the instructions are supposed to be a special for our next club newletter. Here are some having trouble invading our last NBLTC layout though: (URL) Jason Railton (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Douglas, thanks a bunch for your comments. It's funny, this ship is. I've never seen an episode of Battlestar Galactica in my life. All I had to go on was the Lego works I could find on Brickshelf. :) The landing gear was one of the last bits (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

Great job Ryan, you get my vote so far for the coolest entry. The raider-shape is perfect, and you lost nothing with the integration of the engines. if you ditched the tail you probably wouldn't win, but it would look even better. The only flaw is (...)   Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Greg, thanks man. I love your suggestion. If ever I slip one of those cockpits into a Bricklink order, I'll be sure to try it out on this ship. --Ryan W. (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Titillating indeed. Heh. Your comments about the tail section makes me admire you even more. I worked really hard to find the right balance of shape, detail, size, and color for the tail section, and it actually makes me feel really proud for (...)   Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Paul, thanks. Ho-boy..PDX taught me a load of stuff. And I didn't even see everything there. I definitely think my building style and techniques have improved just by being around the great mocs and .space builders who were at the fest. I was (...)   Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle

I don't usually like to endorse the work of a Commy-pinko nation, but since your stated mission involves the destruction of the disease-spreading, parasite space-hippies...I'll make an exception. This is nice work as usual Lenny, one of the things I (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Thanks, JP. I'm glad you enjoyed the construction pics. I've been trying to do that my last few mocs so I can share with people how a model can evolve from start to finish. This is my best-documented model so far. It was indeed a challenge to (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC times three

(...) Oomph indeed. Steve, you are currently The King of X-Pods. Snazzy work! I really love how you made the "doors" hinge open. As neat as the little shuttle is, I don't get a huge sense of PCS about it. Changing the red parts to blue and maybe (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  MOC times three

Here's another Xpod moc. The "ponypod" of pods, 2+2 seating and plenty of oomph to get around with. It's a double pod with hatches that actually open: (URL) And here we have a PCS shuttle for a Star Ranger project I'm working on: (URL) And here's (...)   Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Excellent creations as usual. I really like you maintained the P-38 look yet put the main thrusters in the tail-plane rather than in the twin booms. I personally don't mind the way you did the landing gear. Seems entirely plausible for a (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Wow, thats an amazing amount of detail packed into such a little craft. Great use of the JSF canopy. I've come to the conclusion that the only effective way to use it is at an angle like that. I really like how there is really no studs-up in (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike

(...) Well, I think your entry is the most original so far. Cool idea. I also like the minifig verions of Paul Jr & Sr. So are the "propeller disks" functional or are they bits of metal that paulie tacked on to make it look cool :-) I really like (...)
