Hi all, As (URL) promised>, we are pleased to anounce the completion of our T'Kunce drives from Jeff Szklennik's (URL) blueprints>. We expect them to be most useful around the lab as well as for space vehicles. (2 URLs) A couple of slightly (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL —Mike Thorn
(...) Cool stuff. If there is anything about LEGO that is guaranteed to catch my fancy, it's either reflective or transparent elements. Bingo. Can you give me the MLCAD file for one of these? I have an idea for raytracing a smooth version of those (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL —Ley Ward
(...) Hi Mike Ditto the reflective and transparent elements, but that's why I just had to build these for real. MLCAD? Me? noooo. You'd better check out the (URL) blueprints> link and follow that thread. Those guys may have what you seek. Best of (...) (20 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

2 More (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL) —Ley Ward
As promised in the first post in this thread, I have a couple more colour variations for your enjoyment. I figured I'd keep them in the same thread for ease of finding them later. Here's the trans-yellow version: (URL) Note the 'fat pipes' around (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

3vil Skull Drive etc. (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL) —Ley Ward
As promised again. Apologies to those who've seen enough, but I seem to be driven to do this. What 3vil cap ship would want to be without such a cool power source? (URL) In other news we're having a braindrive for those less fortunate: (URL) Also (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) snip Look man, you have a problem, this has to stop! Seriously though, how many of the chrome elbow pipes do you have? enough for one, or tons of these things? I have an idea to try out for one of these (replacing the inner brick with an array (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 3vil Skull Drive etc. (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL) —Ley Ward
(...) Um, I know about the problem, but I share these as a community service. Really, I'm not trying to show off.(1) You will note that there have never been two drives in the same picture. I do have enough for two, but I have to decide which one's (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Can you build one of these small enough to tape to the back of my head for that extra calculus computing power? :) (...) Okay, that's the second time I've seen those little pink flowery things. Just what exactly are those, now? -Mike (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 3vil Skull Drive etc. (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL) —Ley Ward
(...) Well, tape isn't a problem. As for size, are you sure you want pea-brains making any kind of calculation? Do remember that if you manage to hook one of these up, you'll have six additional voices in your head. (...) Them are (URL) these.> I (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Well, it'll make a nice echo. Six is better than empty, after all. (...) Well, since they're *dark* pink, I would say it's some sort of gnawed spamcake. I don't think I want to know any more than that, thanks. :) -Mike (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Fifteen minutes too late but thanks anyway. :) With a bit of work (more precise light placement, faster speed, larger spheres), this could actually look pretty good: (URL) 512kb/sec, 88.5KB. Looks kinda cool in looping mode. -Mike (20 years ago, 7-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
