  Re: Hover Sleds

(...) These are excellent....such a simple designt that works so well. And as Bram had mentioned, the SNOTted on classic chairs are ingenious. Love 'em. Cheers, -G (22 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) WOW. These ((URL) really make me want to pull out my legos and build again. I am curious, what is your process? Do you draw on paper then use LDraw or something similar to design and then build? Do you buy sets to get the parts you need, or do (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Anyone know of a good source of non-basic black parts?

Are there any sets out there that are a good source of specialized system parts in black (i.e. not bricks, plates, slopes and other basic parts) I am looking for more black greebles to make my next space creation look cooler :) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

  Re: Hover Sleds

(...) Don't hold your breath. Over 100 new pieces have been produced for the BIONICLE line in the first three years alone, and there aren't any signs that this trend will stop. Given the sheer number, the fact that most of them have highly curvy (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: castle vs. space (was: Re: AFOLs - The comic!)

(...) By the scientific definition, that's technically true, just like pushing a stalled car along level ground isn't technically "work". If you've ever pushed a car, you've probably been impressed by how much effort it takes to not do any work. In (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

  Re: be afraid ...

Thanks : ) I'm working on an a hive ship and some landing barges + an animation of the slugs taking over a moonbase outpost, but the krata are going to take a while to model in ldraw : ( (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hover Sleds

(...) Thanks for the welcome! (...) Sweet! I like the color-scheme. I had thought about playing with color a bit on the yellow sled that I did, but decided to go with a factory finished model. :-) (...) I found that I had to modify the front (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Hover Sleds

(...) That's almost exactly right! The 1x1 plate with clip (or whatever it's called), is one of my favorite pieces. In the place of the 2x2 corner plate that you suggested, I actually used a 1x2 plate, so it's only covering the back. The 2x2 corner (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Welcome to .space Elroy. (We all find our way here sooner or later.) I think you've got a winner there (too bad there's no contest.) I especially Like what you did with the chairs and that's a very clever bit of SNOT. I was scratching my head (...) (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Hover Sleds

(...) It's interesting, but I've seen better uses. I've found that when you attach a Kanohi in an upright position, it's a little too recognizable as a face, and tends to detract from the overall look (unless it's intended to be used as a face, like (...)   Re: be afraid ...

(...) Slug ships/bases - like, i imagine a moonbase with space slugs all over slowly putting together a warship of some kinda.. something big and sluggy. certainly a fun idea! i'd love to see this expanded more! -lenny (22 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) You are quite correct Ley, well more or less anyways. And I should know, I was a member of the Space and Plasma Physics research group at UMD for two years. .... ah space plasma how miss you....   Re: castle vs. space (was: Re: AFOLs - The comic!)

(...) Um, technically (and, correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't worked with such people as Carl Sagan or Issac Asimov ;-) space doesn't actually suck; it's the air (pressurised) that, um, blows.
