Space-craft design; was Re: Peether T-8 (Lightning contest entry)

(...) If I remember correctly, I read something about the episode I design philosophy that stated something along the lines that technological evolution in the starwars universe has been at a plateau for several hundred/thousand years?? In that (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) Thanks to Lenny and others who have answered some questions on this. Within the next week I plan on updating all the broken images on the moonbase site and adding some of the new standards we've put together. I'll also make a quick recap post (...)   Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) From what I remember, the two huge modules had monorail, train and racer track built in and the rest of the track was built up over the days after most of the moonbase modules had been setup. Some stantions were literally stuck on top of (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Great jacket, mate!

(...) Now, I must be awake - set no. 4853 Spiderman fanger tyve, Danish catalogue, coming out in May. To think I have to buy flesh tones to get him! Anything for the cause. Chris Actually kind of embarrassed that I missed that one. (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Great jacket, mate!

(...) Figures. I guess I will retreat into the night again, only to get excited about "old news" sometime in the future. Curious though - are more people using this minifig in their creations? I haven't spotted him before. But then maybe I've slept (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Great jacket, mate!

(...) That was big news back when LEGO released that set. That jacket will be appearing in one of the new small Spider Man sets soon. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Great jacket, mate!

Sometimes it takes a while to notice things. I hope that this problem affects others too. But, being slow on the uptake can be interesting. Like when I saw Graviton's Brickshelf gallery, nice ship by the way, and the guy on the right caught my eye. (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) I think it would make a lot more sense to have 3 or 4 standards. And then you can shuffle the bases about any way you like and still have everything work together. You could run your track any way you want within your base as long as it comes (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) Unless you're prepared to fill in gaps with some scratch-built corridors, I'm no sure how feasible this will be. The idea of designing the module layout around the Monorail layout is interesting, but I suspect you'll find that you need to be (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) Monorail is difficult to work with, even with the official Monorail-compatibility guidelines, and Space Train can be even more restricted by the lack of ramp-rails (haven't worked with Racers track, so I can't comment on that). The biggest (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: BIA - Blackron Intelligence Agency Preview

(...) Mike, Thanks for the encouraging comments. Those darn trans-yellow parts are scarce as hens teeth and although I had quite a few in my personal collection I relied heavily on our old friend ... Mr. Bricklink. I had a ton of fun building the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.space)

Re: P-38 Lightning Mark XII - contest entry.

(...) Thanks. I started with the landing gear this time. I discovered it's much easier to put it in this way than retrofitting it as I usually end up doing. In lugnet.space, Ryan Wood wrote: (...) (...) Now that has got to be one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. I am impressed that is your first space MOC. I guess it helps when you have all those good parts to work with. -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.space)

Re: First Permanent Settlement on Mars!!!

(...) John! THis is super cool! Definately something I'd like to see more of - and unfortunately, that is the problem. All the pictures are too small, and fairly dark. I'd like to see pictures that have at least a height of 600 pixels - and i think (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) Huw, people announced how many moonbases the intended on bringing, but many people just showed up with some on their own. Jon and Gary did the two big bases (the ones with monorail, etc) - and brought extra monorail, rr tracks, and racer lanes (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)
