Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) OMG, truely amazing. Its one thing to build big, but its another thing all together to finish off such a large MOC with beautifully thoughtful detials like this. I'm simply blown away by your awareness and use of space in the smaller quarters (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

Man, this is really groovy. I really dig the sunken bridge stations and the galley. And a weight room! The attention to detail is groovtastic. And the Classic Space feel is right on target. It's like the super playset I never had. I really want to (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) <snip> (...) Hey you! Because of you I built that industrious Fleebnork and now I can't get rid of 'im!! He seems to show up somewhere in all my displays!! (URL) Attempts at catching are for naught! Grr!! ;) Dave K (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Women and Eric?

(...) Actually, LEGO was basically the only hobby that my ex-fiancee supported. And she was very attractive to boot! What was I thinking? Eh, whatreya gonna do. Dave K (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) Absolutely amazing. As I've commented in other venues, this ship incorporates basically everything I've wanted to put in a ship since I was 5 years old...and 1000x better than I ever could. Bravo sir...bravo. Cheers, -Gil (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

This is just plain fantastic. The interior detail is wonderful, and has some great creative solutions. I don't mind the boxy shape so much, as it is a CS ship. The only suggestion I have is to maybe make covers to fit over the greebed-up engines. (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) bigger. I love the big ridiculous tail fins on the rear. The front end looks a bit boxy. I would suggest using some hinges and thin wall windows to make a nice large observation lounge or maybe the captain's quarters in between the sloped bits (...)   Re: Women and Eric?

(...) And it's been my experience that when you do mention your "hobby", a strange look comes over their face...and it gets worse when the girl sees your collection for the first time.   Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) So that's what the unholy spawn of an ISD and one of Dan Jassim's cap ships would look like! Nicely done. I love the interior details, especially the bathrooms and the double-thick walls. The back to back windows add bulk to the hull when (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

Wow!!! Great job keepin the Cap Ship genre alive and well! The exterior is cool, maybe a bit boxy BUT it being a Classic Space ship AND an converted freighter, that's understandable... Your interriors... MAN some of the best I've seen. The light (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) <snip> (...) I'll tell ya what I think! It's beautiful! The perfect amount of greebling--I love it lately that these ships aren't over greebled nor under greebled! Lots of nifty little details that woudln't be unexpected to see on a 'real' (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

(...) Nice ship Paul. It really looks like a converted freighter and the inside stuff is well thought out. Nice engines, too. The king of greeblies sure was back in action there. If I may offer some minor criticism, though, the shape is a bit blocky (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)

New MOC: deep-space exploration SHIP "Beagle"

Hey everybody - Finished at last :-) She's a medium freighter that's been converted into a long-range exploration ship and outfitted with everything a crew needs for those long trips.   Re: The Love Bubble!

(...) Thanks for the kind words Paul, (and everyone else) I'm sure yours will be far cuter - I ran out of pink or Love Bubble would have been pinker too! As for the tiles - I've got no idea; I pulled 10 of them out of a bulk bin at LegoWorld in (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Seen on Brickshelf - is this new?

I came across this on Brickshelf this weekend: (URL) "black spaceship">. It gives me the creeps. Is it new, or just an update? James Wilson Dallas, TX (22 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Star Flower, Griffin & pods - a de-lurking post!

(...) Greetings. (...) I loved that set. It's a nice MOC (...) Paul that the legs look a little flimsy but I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing, they look like they are powered by huge actuators or something. (...) I like what your showing (...) (22 years ago, 1-Dec-03, to lugnet.space)
