   and the site: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/948

I find that my stuff goes through too many renditions to document every step. There are too many times where a design is scrapped halfway through the process for me to subject everyone to all phases of every project.

you see, all the different renditions is what i find so interesting, the very point of this project! i think sometimes people look at something amazing like jassim’s Dragonstar, and think he just built it. i imagine that he must have worked and reworked everything over and over again. im curious about the process one goes through in making something cool.

and especially from a point of view of someone who hasn’t made a ship because the task seems to daunting. when i started building ships (from my website: http://www.ozbricks.net/glencaer - click on space, then spaceships) you can see my initial attempts were pretty lousy. i think because i didn’t know how to plan a spaceship. my hope is that this project can be like a tutorial on how to build larger space creations.

and being an artist, i find that i am adept at exposing myself to public ridicule. even if the kalashnikov turns out to be a disaster and needs to be scrapped, i’ll continue with a new design until i find something that works. i did a similiar thing with the ‘Duvernay’, with both a first (bad) version and second (good) version.

I hope that all turns out well and look forward to seeing the finished product (as well as all stages in between).

thanks for the kind words.
