Where did the cylinders come from that are on the end of the manuevering
thrusters? They are something I haven't seen before.

Do you mean the rings at the end of the main drives? They're from the UCS X-
wing.

And can the ship land? I wonder about that because, well, sooner or later, the
pilot's gonna have to use the bathroom:)

He's tough, he can hold it :3. To answer more seriously, it's a vacuum-only
fighter craft, so he can dock at orbital "facilities".
