MOC: Pre Classic Jump Lander & an experiment.... —Gil Shaw
Greetings! My first attempt as somthing in the Pre Classic theme.... (URL) for the experiment part. After reading the recent discussions on critiques and their effects and value in the forum, I was wondering was I do with constructive criticism (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Good job. I think it fits in well. Is there any particular CS set that you were reworking? (...) <snip> (...) Well, since you brought it up.... I like everything but the landing gear. They seem a bit clunky to me. The only improvement I can (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Hiya Gil! (...) Very Nice. Looks like a Pre version of this: (URL) Jumping Cosmo Scanner :-) I like: the cool "back pack" gear The sense that the model is truly a step from LOM to Classic Space. The use of different items for greeblies (the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Hey Gil. Well, let's see...as your feet are already firmly planted on Earth, I don't have to worry about your ego soaring to dizzying heights by saying this: The Jump Lander needs nothing more...it is complete and it's a masterpiece! Your creations (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Hey, that's a cool MOC! I really like anything with a 'tri' shape to it. Suggestions: 1) Change the skis to something bigger; they don't look like they'd hold the ship up very well. 2) Add a bit more light gray to the rear end of the ship; the (...)      Gil, you've not only caught the PSC feel perfectly, you've made it your own. I really, really like this one. Contrary to Chris' suggestion, I'd leave the rear foot as it is. It makes for a good tripod look - very NASA Landerish. I agree about the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) <snip> Gil, this is awesome! I love the simple-ness of your designs. Such a cool zen-like quality.. I get a similiar feeling looking at Jon's Alphabet project ships. I think I'd have to agree with something someone else said about the color (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Pre Classic Jump Lander & an experiment.... —Paul Hartzog
this is really cool and its great to see the PCS line evolve I think Chris is the best one to help us all "get it right" but even w/out his guidance I think we can all contribute good mocs yours is a great start and a hard one to beat for simplicity (...)         Re: MOC: Pre Classic Jump Lander & an experiment.... —John Henry Kruer
Very cool stuff, Gil! The overall shape is, as always, unique, and I like the use of that new ball joint as a thruster. And the PCS feel is captured well. Critisisms? Well, I like everything except the landing gear. IMHO its a bit too spindly, and (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Pre Classic Jump Lander & an experiment.... —Jeff Jardine
(...) Nice - I can see some similarities to the original lunar module. If you REALLY want some critical comments, I can only say that maybe it would look more true to the PCS thing with an unprinted canopy. Your MOCs are constantly fresh, original, (...)    Greetings! A big thanks to everyone for their ideas, suggestions and kudos. I have put them together with some revamped sketching and have found definite improvements in the implementations.
