S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
Wow! I got home last night, and found this beautiful, oversized mini-catalog waiting for me. The front cover said, (quoting from memory) "2002 Special Edition". I don't usually get excited about the S@H catalogs (any more), but this is way cool! And (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
     Argh! I *swear* I typed "lugnet.starwars", not "lugnet.space". Oh, well. Consider it cross-posted. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Thomas Garrison
(...) Was the description of the Red Baron new? That was what really stood out to me---it was described as being from WWI. None of this "famous plane of the early part of the 20th century" nonsense we saw with the Sopwith Camel---TLC actually (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Um, there is a lot of text but they have it both ways (yes, I got one of these in the mail today, unf. my mailperson mangled it a bit)... top: "the Fokker Dr 1 was one of the most famous planes of the early 20th century, known primarily as (...)         Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Jonathan Lopes
(...) I got it. It is a really 'in your face' brochure. it is printed on good paper too. I was very surprised, they must have spent some money on it. It was oversized too, more postage. Interesting how a lot of the bricks in the photo's were dinged (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
(...) I don't have it handy, but it was 11"x11" or 12"x12", right? (...) Yeah, the LEGO photographers aren't as careful and painstaking as they used to be. I noticed some slightly-crooked stickers on the Republic Gunship, some bricks weren't seated (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
     (...) I measured last night. 10 7/8" x 12 1/4" or 27.5cm x 31.1cm. Is that a standard size? Steve (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Bruce Hietbrink
(...) Haven't got this one yet. Is there anything new aside from the Star Wars and Red Baron sets you mentioned? How about in the accessories and bulk packs? Bruce (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
(...) Nope. The entire 16 page (including both covers) catalog is devoted to the new and current Star Wars sets. The only mention of anything else is a gatefold insert, which displays the following sets: 10024 Red Baron 3739 Blacksmith Shop 10020 (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Jeremy Scott
From the mouth of a Lego Employee: ---...--- "The "2002 Special Edition" Catalog was printed in extreamly limited quantities and only sent to random entries in our mailing list. There are none left. Odds are, you won't get one yourself." I explained (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Steve Bliss
(...) They aren't scans, just photos shot with my digital camera. Considering the quality, I probably should have reduced the size. Be warned: these images are 200Kb-300Kb each. Start at: (URL) Steve (23 years ago, 4-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

(...) Thanks for posting them at least...I haven't gotten it, and was wondering what the fuss was about. Actually, I am not jealous at all about not getting it...          Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Kevin Powell
(...) WOW that makes me feel special. It totally rocks! I love the first page spread of the Republic Gunship. The measurements give me an idea of how really HUGE it is! It's wider than it is long! I may try to post some scans if anyone's interested. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: S@H "Special Edition" Catalog —Dave Schuler
