The Shrike Interceptor is built for high speed and maneuverability.  The wings
sweep to three different positions: when straight out, they provide the most
lift for takeoff and landing; when swept forward, they increase
maneuverability at sub-mach speeds for dogfight situations; and when
swept back, the jet can reach its top speed for those long hauls.  The landing
gear completely retracts, and the cockpit and the storage compartment behind it
swing open.  Since my website isn't quite ready (and I already exceeded my disk
quota), here's the Brickshelf gallery:

VERY NIIIICE!! :^D YEAH! I like how you found a use for those bionicle heads! (I'm right, aern't I? Those are bionicle heads that the guns are attached to, right?) I think you have captured the essence of most of the cool features of conventional (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Nice, I like it. how does the wing pivot work? I was just thinking about doing a F-14 (Top Gun was on last night:-) ) Gary Bram Lambrecht <bram@cwru.edu> wrote in message news:GGwvBr.5vz@lugnet.com... (...) wings (...) most (...) landing (...) (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Is that Orange or is the color balance really off on your camera/picture? The reason I ask is that looks like a classic space minifig body but it's quite orange on my computer. Dont remember an orange minifig classic space guy. Other than that, (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

I saw this last night and I must say, it's pretty cool! I like all the features you crammed into the model. The movable wings are great, as is the landing gear. The opening cockpit reminds me of the Daredevil Flight Squad set (6582). Anyways, great (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) reminiscent of a F-15 Eagle or a F-16 Tomcat. If this was going to be an air craft, then I would say that it is a nice piece of art but this is a design that seems to me, at least in my opinion, that does not work with the general concept of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) intakes are so cool! Nice use of the bionicle feet\heads. The fold back wings are nice too. It looks like it was designed after one of the earlier Mig fighter craft, the name escapes me at the moment. But the wings on that craft swept forward (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)
