Great fianlly meeting your there as well.  Actually I hadn't noticed the
wedge slopes (since I thought it was orange until I read your
reply to the color question).  Glad you're finding them useful.

Nice design, although it appears that the landing gear
retraction would cause a lot of drag from those plates lowering in the
back.

I agree.  But since LEGO landing gear takes up much more room than real
landing gear, my justification is that the long retract covers are
functional only...were the jet to exist in real life, only the shorter,
sideways opening covers would exist.  Just like castles aren't hinged in
real life. Does that make any sense?
