  Brickworld Sci-Fi(Space and Mecha) Contest

Hey gang. I decided to try something different from fest contests in the past. This year we will be having a 2 size category, limited set build. Anything goes. This will occur on site on Friday 6/22/07 from 1 pm to 3 pm. The mocs will be judged that (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

--snip-- (...) That's because I have some taste ;) Yeah corugated bricks would do nicely. The studs on this work fine as far as I'm concerned and with texturing on the sides they'd look more purposeful. It's a dropship, not a sleek space-jet and a (...)   Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) I'm amused by your response, because several kids on CSF lambasted the visible studs on top. I think you may be right, if I worked some corrugated bricks into the smooth parts of the side or something like that, it might look better. Thanks. (...)   Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

--snip-- (...) I reckon that God ordered them to reverse the heathen lighting system. (...) The Seraphim are awesome. I think the Adze could probably handle a little more texturing here and there but I like the feel of it. The rear door and (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) Tan and light gray is the GI color scheme indeed. I discovered more recently that dark gray and tan contrast much much better, and look really fantastic. I've rebuilt some of my GI MOCs in that color scheme, and I guess they can be elite (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infiltrated by Dr. Zarkov

(...) Awesome work on getting the rounded shape all over. Guess that practise with high speed trains comes in handy ;) Great model. Tim (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) Nice work! Spotlighted. I wonder if a stronger colour than tan would be better on the Adze? (Or is that the GI colour scheme?) And unless things have changed in the future, I think you may have the red and green lights the wrong way around. ;) (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

It has been a long time since I've done any building, and an even longer time since I have posted to LUGNET. I thought it was time to return.   Re: Infiltrated by Dr. Zarkov

(...) No, no chance of building this ship in real life by me. Dr. Zarkov dropped me on the island of Maui and took all my LEGO bricks. I have relocated from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Maui, Hawaii since the end of April. The LEGO couldn't make the (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

(...) the flavor of those old serials and to the whole "feel" of golden age science fiction. Any chance that you might build the ship IRL? Dave! (17 years ago, 15-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Infiltrated by Dr. Zarkov

(...) Wow. Nice work on the shape. I spotted this yesterday or the day before (the past week has been a blur) and was gawking over it. Great job! Joe (17 years ago, 15-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Infiltrated by Dr. Zarkov

Under mind-control from Dr. Zarkov, he commanded that I build him a ship, only smaller, for his "mini-Z". He brain-zapped these images: (URL) by z'challenge, here is the result (only virtually) of Dr. Zarkov's ship from Flash Gordon as built from (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jun-07, to lugnet.space) !

  Re: Maillotia Light Fighter/Bomber

(...) Very cool! I especially like the starboard cannon. Are those aft-facing guns over the engines or something else? Anyway, I love the blocky design--sort of clunky, in a very agreeable way. Retractable landing gear is something that always (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I'm sure that I would, but there goes your naughty site once again tripping up my workplace filters. I'll need to check into all the seedy goings-on from home... Dave! (17 years ago, 5-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)
