Re: Help me find it, please!

(...) That's it! Magnificent! And what a clever idea. Thanks for the pointer. Dave! (17 years ago, 4-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Help me find it, please!

(...) That would be the Explorovore. (URL) I still find that thing creepy. (17 years ago, 4-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Help me find it, please!

I'm looking for that cool MOC posted here some while back that posited a space creature that mimics the shape and form of a 928 Galaxy Explorer, but all in gray. IIRC, the creature lies in wait for an unsuspecting crew to mistake it for a derelict (...) (17 years ago, 4-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: LL925 Multi-Mission Space Cruiser

I dig it! Great shape. Super cool parts. That landing gear is very clever. I'm guessing that the 1xn tiles are holding those black rocket pods in place. How about a grilled tile in the empty area in front where the two studs are open. Just a (...) (17 years ago, 3-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: LL925 Multi-Mission Space Cruiser

(...) Wow, I don't know what it is about the canopy extension piece near all that blue tile, but it fills me with nostalgia. Nice MOC, Douglas! Keep up the good work. -Hendo (17 years ago, 2-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: LL925 Multi-Mission Space Cruiser

(...) That's beautiful! I love how smooth it is--definitly 'swooshable'! Great job! Dave K (17 years ago, 1-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  LL925 Multi-Mission Space Cruiser

Here is an attempt at an updated version of the venerable classic LL924 Space Cruiser. Its obviously influenced by the many other neo-classic space mocs that have been posted. The main feature of this moc is the mission-pallet system that allows (...) (17 years ago, 1-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Air & Space - Celebrating 50 years since Sputnik

The current issue of Smithsonian's Air & Space Magazine has a tribute to 50 space-related things, celebrating 50 years since the launch of Sputnik. And LEGO Space is one of them! The article mentions LEGO Star Wars (the game) as well as the LEGO (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

(...) Thanks, Eric! I played around with the idea of replicating the Space Lock-Up cell, but decided that I wanted a design that was my own and one that suggested a slightly less claustrophobic space. Hope you got plenty of doughnuts handy! Dave S. (18 years ago, 27-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

Whoa!!! Now that is some serious Space Police Lock Up! Big, lot's of details, novel design and fuctionality! Not sure what else to say, but I need to go make some more coffee. I want to see more pictures! Gonna go look again... - Eric Sophie (18 years ago, 25-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

(2 URLs) (...) Thank you very much, Jonathan! High praise coming from a non-Spacehead! I struggled with the printed parts for quite awhile until I felt that I had struck the proper balance. Less is usually more where that's concerned, and I've found (...) (18 years ago, 25-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

(...) Wow! Thanks very much, Mark! It was a heckuva a lot of fun to build! Space Police I is still one of my favorite Space sub-themes and since I've been getting further into building larger vehicles, I wanted to do something that would reflect my (...)   Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

(...) This is simply stunning. Absolutely fantastic. The interiors rock. All the detail, the smoothness, incredible use of printed parts. Jawdroppingly great. I am not a space guy, but anyone can appreciate this beauty. Simply fabulous. Best, (...) (18 years ago, 25-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

(...) This is absolutely incredible! One of the best Space Mocs I've ever seen. I was around 11 or 12 when Space Police came out and it is my favorite Space sub-theme. Thanks for sharing and I want you to know I'm holding off posting something in (...) (18 years ago, 25-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

MOC: Space Police I - Total Security Platform

Hey all, I'm absolutely thrilled to debut my latest creation on my new webserver! No more admin e-mails about my excessive bandwidth use, and it's a darned good thing, 'cause I took a LOT of pictures of this big, bad baby! (URL) (...) Enjoy with (...)   Re: Looking forward eagerly to Mars Mission!

(...) Well, shoot. I realized later that the logo is a variation on the original CS logo. The ship looks more realistic, but it's odd that they'd tease older fans that way. (18 years ago, 23-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: Looking forward eagerly to Mars Mission!

(...) I just found all seven sets in the greater Detroit area today and picked up the smallest Martian set. There are several recent canopies in the new trans-orange (as compared to the misnamed flourescent trans-orange of old): 41883, Jedi (...) (18 years ago, 23-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: Looking forward eagerly to Mars Mission!

I think the sets are crappier than Life On Mars, especially the Martians and those orange transport thingos. The minifigs are great though. (18 years ago, 22-May-07, to lugnet.space)
