I build space too! A small fighter moc

I usually don't venture out of .castle much but I have a ship to show ya'll. It's a 1 man fighter with lots of cargo space. It could be a smuggler ship cuz of speed and firepower, but it could also work as a small drop ship. The jango fett boxes can (...)   Re: One improved Lionfish, two new MOCs...

(...) You and JHK had a pretty valid point about the lack of roundness, so I did he best I could on the neck (which is a marked improvement) and found wedge parts for the body. The great side result was that I was able to put a plate on the bottome (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Hypothetical design question

(...) While everyone already pointed out that Babylon 5 is the best mainstream sci-fi at actually obeying physics in space, I would like to point out a few additions to the above statement. The Star Trek "science advisor" has an Art degree. Half of (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: One improved Lionfish, two new MOCs...

(...) Thanks! You're right about the canopy, and I just ran out of those pieces :( As for the greebs, I tend to think of myself as a feeble greebler:) But ths ship was mostly fun. The legs are very cantankerous, so if you breathe on it the wrong (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.space, FTX)

  The Eastern Block's Newest Weapons

The Eastern Block is Proud to announce its two latest achievements: ======= Our first creation deals with question: What happens when you mix two parts Spaceman Spiff, two parts VW Bug, and one part evil Soviet dictatorship? (...) Joe, This edition makes an excellent ship superior. ;) As Gil said: (...) I totally agree. I see the sphenoid could not be rounded out but I think the other new parts help shroud it's boxyness; plus, the repetitious grill texture in that area (...)   Re: One improved Lionfish, two new MOCs...

(...) Thanks! I was surprised at how the model worked itself out in its final form. The top fin worked out much better than I expected, but I originally was going to array the spines under their opposite neighbor, so you only would have seen half as (...)   Re: One improved Lionfish, two new MOCs...

(...) Thanks! Your suggestion to make the top fin like the siide fins I originally was not too keen on, mainly because I was thinking of doing only one plate and all the spines from that, which meant that the studs would be seen on one side. I (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: One improved Lionfish, two new MOCs...

(...) Thanks! I found some wedge parts that I didn't expect to find. (...) I really didn't expect to build this one, as I was building a ship. The idea of landing gear became legs as I continued to build...they just looked right:) (...) There are (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) I'm on dial up here, and I can't slam the site cuz it doesn't load. I have the newest flash and 98 too. It starts the loading progress bar and then stalls out. I'd love to see it when it gets changed. (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming.brikwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) -snip- While he could have been more tactful, he is right. The pop-up is annoying, and websites that require the user to have the newest software and/or hardware are poorly designed. My initial experience (dialup/windows 98/newest version of (...)   Re: Hypothetical design question

(...) Not at all. In atmospheric fighter combat, if I drop in on your six, you've got to shake me long enough to swing around and point your forward-facing guns at me before you can shoot back because you can't fly backwards. Thus, whoever gets (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) Good luck on your latest venture! One thing though you missed out on posting it to .market where I think this should belong. Or at least all FUTs should be there rather than flooding all the other newsgroups with the announcement. Regards, (...) (...) The Hyperion (URL) lists> at about 1200 meters.   Re: Hypothetical design question

(...) I hadn't really thought about this problem before, but I can see how it would be a problem. If your propellent has an exit velocity of 2mph, it shouldn't ever be able to make you go faster than 2mph. Once you've hit that point, the propellent (...) I am on a Cable Modem and had no problems at all with your site. If he wants to complain, then he should at least show a little more restraint and tact.
