Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

Thanx Gil! I built it last week, but could only upload the stuff yesterday, so I announce the Tripod now: (URL) or (URL) and click on enemies > terran ships and vehicles > tripod Love, Sylvi (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) OK is not good enough for the Temple, heretic! (...) Thanx! Gravity can spoil a lot. (...) Most of it is engine, except for cockpit and pods. (...) I will. Love, Sylvi. (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

I missed the larger Terran walker the first time around....hurrah for the Duplo Egg!!! Great colour scheme as well. Nice stuff! Cheers, -Gil (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Singin' Them ABS Blues

A few weeks back some friends took me to a blues lounge with a couple of local blues singers/guitarists. During one song, these lyrics popped in my head. I think they work well for a blues song or for a country song. If someone wants to come up with (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.general, lugnet.space) !!

Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

(...) Not much impresses me with this. Not good, not bad, just ok. (...) Yummy. I love interior pics. I like the shape of this ship. Nice to see some more details. I especially like the way you used the 2 x 2 tile w/ pin to hold the roof on. I (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Parts Design Question

One way to increase the friction on a single plate motion (like a swing-wing aircraft for example) is to use 2 of them...one on top and one on bottom with the plate sandwiched between. Surround the turntable on the bottom surface with tiles and the (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Capital Ship II

It's funny you mention that because this is actually a narrower version of a much larger box that I just couldn't get to look right. In this case I wanted the ship to look like an oversized traditional brick :-) Thanks for the reply! (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Capital Ship II

Grand Admiral, Hmm...I was referring to the sliding door format itself. After looking at hundreds of pictures of hundreds of models over the past two years it's hard to recall exactly where I got that idea from...but I wanted to give credit where (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Vincent Desrochers' rocket

(...) Thanks Bruce, That's a cool MOC, it reminds me a 1960's launch vehicle. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

Wow! You're quite the space builder. Lots of neat MOCs I haven't seen before. Keep 'em coming. --Dan (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Vincent Desrochers' rocket

(...) Bruce, I agree with you. A neat concept all-around and the lander is great IMHO. Thanks for the heads up. -Andrew PS >> There have been responses to another gallery you pointed out in .minifigs. ;-) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

(...) Sylvi- WOW, you have some excellent designs there! I had not been to your website before--I enjoyed the mission statement system. I love both confederate fighters and the tripod walker is so cool. I saw the double confederate fighter up on (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Wolverine - Classic Space Missle Platform

(...) Mike, Cool craft you have here. Definitely CS in the color scheme and the simplicity of structure and hidden technical stuff (greeblies). I remember seeing the GI JOE Wolverine and yours is a great point of departure. Any more where this came (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Wolverine - Classic Space Missle Platform

My latest MOC. Its inspired by the GI JOE vehicle of the same name. Except the driver in this case is not as good looking. The Wolverine is designed as mainly an anti-armour vehicle. The missles are guided which makes up for the lack of movement in (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.space) !

  Re: Parts Design Question

You can put a piece of paper between the two parts of the 2 x 2 turntable. A rubber band between the two pieces of the 4 x 4 turntable will tighten the turntable nicely. (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Vincent Desrochers' rocket

Hi all, It doesn't look like he posts here, so I'll mention this. This MOC went up on Brickshelf a couple of days ago: (URL) looks very PCS-y to me. Bruce (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Parts Design Question

I haven't tried this with Lego, so don't sue me if it doesn't work. But, you can add friction to moving parts of other materials by adding a tiny drop of cyanoacrylate (super) glue to the joint, and then working the parts until the glue dries. This (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Parts Design Question

is there a way to give a turn-table a little more friction - or even a friction turntable? I like using them, but they swing every which way every time you pick them up - i don't like it. thanks in advance -vive le krakhed (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Check this out!

Hate to spoil your fun, but I caught that on Brickshelf when it first came out. Thanks for posting it though, I appreciate the thought. Take care, Soren (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.space)
