  Re: Request for Ideas/Suggestions

Glad you reposted this Matt...missed it first time around. The ship you are basing it on looks wild...an unorthadox look that should be a real challenge to build, although your first step are well on the way. As far as I can see, you can't get any (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Ion Cannon Frigate

Thanks! I render it in Ldite (have no Idea how to use PovRay) then Print Screened each of the 36 frames (10 dregrees rotate on the Y axis each time), pasted in Paint, saved as .gif then created one animated gif using Ulead Gif Animatior 2.0 (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Followup to Proposal of building theme "sequels"

Hey all, Just wanted to say that I wasn't suggesting this idea as a contest. I envisioned it as more of a Moonbase Module kind of thing. We set a few guidelines and let the builder's imagination do the rest. I cetainly wouldn't want to place a time (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Photo programs (was Can you dig it?)

(...) As do I, but IF you were to BUY it, it is pricey... (...) Paint Shop Pro does most everything that Photoshop does, but I found it a little harder to use, but I am used to Photoshop's way of doing things. some of my friends use it and assure me (...)   My take on some .space fads

Hi all, Here are some old models I made when various fads swept the .space newsgroup. Uberbike (URL) Uberbike was constructed and piloted by Arnold P. Grumby, though he prefers to be called Uber-Terror. Since his peculiarly small stature prevented (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: Can you dig it?

(...) Yeah, what he said. I use Photoshop. However, there should be some shareware or freeware apps out there that allow you to resize pics. ~Grand Admiral (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Request for Ideas/Suggestions

Hi everyone. Its been a while since I last posted on anything, and in truth, I've been a bit inactive on the building end as well, but as I'm looking to get back to work on my project, I thought I'd reissue the request for help and/or suggestions on (...)   Re: USS Okazaki NCC-1960 WIP

(...) As an addendum to these points - I have found from experience that slopes are the ideal way to get a graceful shape with a strong underlying structure, but will be heavy and use lots of bricks. On the other hand, sloped panels (SNOT) are a (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: USS Okazaki NCC-1960 WIP

There might be something intersting for you here: (URL) have never undertook a Really Large Ship, but I can give basic design principles: 1. Don't get boxy. Boxiness can really kill a huge ship. 2. Make an internal support structure. Use technic (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  New MOC: The Red Death

Heres my newest MOC, the Red Death. It is a fully autonomous robot, capable of operating by itself for days at a time.   Re: USS Okazaki NCC-1960 WIP

(...) Welcome to the insane world of large scale starships. I am also in the early stages of my project. The ship I am building is going to be roughly 7 feet long by 2 1/2 feet wide. I have not decided on how high it will be. I have spent the past (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

I'm kicking this thread back up in case those who might be interested missed it the first time. All comments on the possibilities, hardships, etcetra, are welcome. (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Can you dig it?

It's called picture resolution, or how many pixels there are in the image, more pixels meaning a larger image. Most pictures online are set at '640 X 480' resolution, which fit most screens. Your camera does larger resolutions which are larger (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Hey Jon P... (was Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE)

(...) Hey Jon, Can you give us all an idea of what was involved in coordinating the space room last year. I'm interested but will step aside (or share) if someone was eyeing the position already. Felix (URL) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

  Re: Can you dig it?

Mark, Would you please tell me how to upload on brickshelf without making the picture bigger than the entire screen? I noticed all your pix were perfect. With mine you have to scroll all over creation and you can't see the whole thing at once... (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New helicopter

  Re: ENTERPRISE D from Europe!

Wow! Veerry good. I love the contrast between studs and tiles, you do it very well. Good use of all those new slopes and curves and printed pieces, you really get the 'flow' of the ships right, which is perhaps the hardest thing to do well in Lego. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: ENTERPRISE D from Europe!

Very well rendered Christian...the hull shape is very true to the original and the patterns on the slopes actually work quite well with the model. Are there any interiors? Cheers, -G (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)
