"Soren Roberts" <bricklovinfreakboy@attbi.com> wrote in message news:HDAs22.DGr@lugnet.com... (...) it kind of reminds me of some of Dan Jassim's work, on a smaller scale... very neat, that's for sure. and is it my imagination, or is that thing (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: It's done

(...) Thank you! That was exactly the effect I was trying for. (...) Yeah, although I haven't seen any that don't recently. (...) Yeah, but I thought you guys would like to see the finished version. Take care, Soren (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Mini Star Wars and the Moonbase Project

What happens when you cross the mini Star Wars sets with the Moonbase Project? Duh. The mini-Moonbase, of course. (URL) was stuck away from home for a while, but luckily I had one of each of the mini-SW sets to keep me company. After piling all of (...) (...) Thanks for your answers, guys! I need to dig out some of those pieces for the Okizaki ... anyone happen to know what category it would be on Bricklink? Those things would make for some pretty cool cargo containers. Jeff Benson (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Hah-hah, my old wallpaper was getting REALLY boring. And it's the right size, too! Jeff Benson jbenso1@towson.edu (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Thanks! I'm finding that Aquazone is a challenging and fun theme to play with, and with the Sea Monkeys, pretty different. Speaking of which, I spotted your calimari...beautiful work and use of the arm parts You made long graceful tentacles, (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Re: It's done

(...) Really nice work. My favourite feature is the way the greeblies are constrained within boundaries separate from the hull, giving the distinct sense that the ship was covered with actual panels rather than it being made from bricks. Nice (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Spice Harvester

(...) Ah, shucks. I have to say, it's probably my single most popular creation amongst the .space crowd. Well, either it or the Spiffcraft. It's hard to say. :) I like it. The claws and treads look purposeful. ~Grand Admiral (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Grand-daddy of the Spiffcraft?

(...) It's no secret that Calvin and Hobbes were my inspiration for the Spiffcraft, but this particular creation have nothing to do with mine. Pretty neat tho. :) ~Grand Admiral (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dragonstar!

(...) Actually it was part of the Launch Command line, which was Spaceport's predecessor (and was much better, as its "launch pad" set had a STS orbiter rather than a ridiculous three-stage shuttle with tiny black wings and no boosters or fuel tank; (...) (...) Those are from a Spaceport set from several years ago, #6614 Launch Evac 1. The set is a small fire/rescue-type vehicle and it comes with 2 of those door pieces. --Dan (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Argh. I'm sorry, can't figure out how to edit my post. Dan, had a question for you: (URL) this picture, behind the crewman ... those pieces you're using for, I assume, a refigerator or freezer ... where did you get them? I've never seen that piece (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Warping in with a new MOC - the Mantaclaw

Thanks Paul, Yeah on-perpendicular-ness is what I feel to be the key to successful space MOCs. As mentioned by Gil, the pyramidal shape gives way to the feeling of a utility vehicle which is what I was going for. As you have proved, research is the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)
