(...) Thanks! I'm pretty happy with them too. (...) Yep. Happened duringthe icestorm that hit the Carolinas three weeks ago. Lost power for 5 days, DSL for 10...NOT a fun time:) (...) The manta has a lot of nice things going for it. I really am (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Some new stuff...

Hey these are cool, I like these craft very much. Both have very pleasing shapes. You lost power too!?! I also like the tail section of the manta. e (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) Hmm. Well I think if you omit the visors then the problem I recall will be far less likely to occur, if at all. So as long as no one minds the extra-thick chin on the visor-able helmets, then that could be a solution. I am not certain they (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) I would omit the visors, since the originals didn't use them. Do you think it would still have that problem with no visor? --Bill. (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Snapshot

(...) Normally I would not say the red canopy looks that great with brown. However, there are three things to consider about this model that could make trans-red acceptable: 1) It is presented as an "organic" craft, and strange color combinations (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Rare blue engine cone available in 2003

(...) Do you have this set already? Can you confirm its the studded cone and not this one: (URL) has been used in a lot of more recent sets.... If so that would be cool! (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A few spacey renderings

Hi Andrew, Nice stuff indeed. If I may, I'd like to share a few tricks that I've been using lately. Once I've generated the POV file, I now use mesh enhancer before actually rendering it. (URL) are that not all the parts in the ldraw file are going (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A few spacey renderings

(...) That's pretty much what it does. Right now it creates an LDraw part whose front face contains a whole bunch of small squares, one for each pixel in the image file (except for the edges, those aren't squares). The rest of the faces of the torso (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

Rare blue engine cone available in 2003

Hey spaceheads, Dunno if you've seen the new NBA sets up close, but besides having new minifig faces for pirates, bounty hunters, and other space rabble... a rather rare space piece is available this set: (URL) a BLUE engine cone formerly only in (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Some new stuff...

  Re: A few spacey renderings

(...) Cool renderings!! Does your Torso Generator take image files and create torsos using LDraw polygons based on the images?? That part wasn't clear on your page. That rocks!!
