I was thinking of the same sort of thing for NQC too. However that means I would have to implement NQC on the Palm as well. For the Scout I would have add the Scout tool translator to the Palm. Mike, It looks like you are well on your way to figuring out those byte codes. I thought of a handy app for the Palm; a Scout LASM program downloader. Using the new Lego SDK for the Scout I've built and programmed a self learning Scout robot. The artificial intelligence of the Scout is based on a roulette wheel brain. (...) I don't use Linux but if dosemu properly emulates the serial port I don't see why this wouldn't work. (...) The Scout can hold one user program in RAM and it must fit into about 400 bytes. This all sounds good (even if my family is going to freak at the idea of buying a 21 year old legos for christmas two years running.) Any chance that we can get the packet and actual byte codes for programming the Scout? (Gaute Munch--are you the one to ask?) I would like to be able control the Scout from my Palm Pilot. |The Blink and Double Blink events in the Scout implements a click and double |click functionality on the light sensor. I found the documentation and examples to be very thorough and clear. The LASM language seems versatile straight forward.
