Nick,
0.2.5 is the latest, but there may be a packaging problem as Luis has said.
In regards to Makefiles:
In the LEGOS_ROOT directory should reside Makefile.common and Makefile.user
In your application directory should reside Makefile (no extension), which
should be similar to the one in the LEGOS_ROOT/demo directory. I've posted the
changes which you may need in another message

You shouldn't need to copy Makefile.user or Makefile.common anywhere else. But
you must make sure your Makefile includes them from the correct directory.
