  how to use LNP class?

Holla, I have been been doing some tests of protocols from lejOS API where I'm about to give a try with this LNP class. The reason is to enable direct host addressing on my app, avoiding the packet_guaranty_issue (as_seen_from_exemple (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Re: Motors on Sensor ports

(...) One thing you will find, is that you can't drive the motor backwards. Well, it won't go one direction. The direction depends on the wiring. Actually, that's just if you hook it to a motor port, AND a sensor port. I don't know how bad it is, (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Desperate need for help with lnpd

Hi! I have mentioned before in this forum that I and two friends are working on a six legged robot which is supposed to learn to walk using genetic algorithms. We are now nearly finished and yesterday we finally managed to program an IR protocol (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Anyone Still Have the Visual Storms / Sharp Storms Source?

Recently, I stumbled across an article in JOT discussing the compilation of .NET assemblies into programs for the Lego MindStorms RCX. As I didn't see a project name or project URL in the article, I initially had some trouble tracking it down, but a (...) (17 years ago, 11-Oct-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: What about this for a new RCX 2.5 setup?

Oh, and I forgot one of the "BIGGEST" wishes on the list: 5) Linksys wireless access port response rather than the directional IR port. Or at least SOME form of 900MHz+ communication that is non-directional, with higher bandwidth (who knows...maybe (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  RE: Apparent 'time-out'

I doubt that sunlight (or flashlight) would be interpreted as valid chars, and the error handling should just discard the (...) (24 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Shutting down the GUI and starting it back up has no effect, pbForth continues to respond correctly. Adding words to the dictionary doesn't seem to make any difference either.   WinLNP and USB

Hi All, I've been trying to send data to my PC using WinLNP and the USB tower. Now, I've modified WinLNP to use the USB tower and it seems to work. I can get the demo RCX program to run and it recognizes I've sent it a byte. I can also get the RCX (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Hello, I want to control two RCX with one ir-tower. The problem is that the RCX should send back status information. Sending information to the RCX is quite easy: Both RCX receive the message but only one will perform the command. I found (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) The RCX 1.0 in RIS 1.0 has a jack, the RCX 1.0 in RIS 1.5 doesn't (unfortunately, I have two of them). The 2.0 on the RCX 2.0 is purely for decoration, there's no user visible difference whatsoever to the RCX 1.0 without the jack.
