| | SPIRIT.OCX and embedded visual tools for winCE
|
| Hi there. I'm conscious that SPIRIT.OCX is quite old and that now there're another ways to control the RCX from any object oriented language on the computer side. I've tried those new methods and are quite good. In my opinion there's a big big point (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| Hello Anne, (...) You can't. Shared libraries are not supported by brickOS. Shared memory or shared libraries are not a feature of a compiler but a feature of the underlying OS. But you can do it the hard way: - put all shared routines in program 1. (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: Transmitting a message from the RCX to the PC

| Would it be possible to have two RCX's communicate back and forth with a single PC by using two Infrared towers? By enclosing one tower/RCX pair in a box you could isolate the RCX's from interrupting each other's communications. I'm guessing that (...) (22 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Creating sight for RIS/No Vision Command
|
| Tough, I think that in order to do this you would need to do some very complicated electronics and programming of a computer that could all be carried on the rcx and use little power. This would probably involve lots of expensive stuff. Although (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| Michael, It depends on what type of software you are running on the PC. If you are talking directly to the serial port (or USB port) on the PC side, then you don't need to adhere to any specific packet type, you can invent your own (if that's what (...) | Hi, I'm trying to get my USB tower to work with XP. So far I had no luck. I followed the instructions on www.mindstroms.com but it doesn't work.
