| Hi, I recently bought the RCX2.0 and I am a little disappointed at the range for the USB tower. Though configured to be at long range I doubt I can implement a range greater then 5 or 6 feet. Is this normal.? Am I missing something.? Paul Reedman (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| (...) If the mac has pci slots you can install a USB card. this , of course doesnt mean the software will work but you can add USB ports to "some" older macs. | Wow, that answers a lot of questions, all but one: why is the USB's 'long range' shorter than the Serial's distance? Was my speculation of the available power true? | On a slightly related note, I've been trying to get all this to work via Linux on a PowerBook FireWire. I have a keyspan USB PDA adapter (USA-19), I seem to be able to at a minimum send characters to the tower (the green light of justice lights up) (...)
