| | Bibo Rollup Release
| I've been asked if I could make the patch collection updates available as a full-distribution release. Actually, I can't say that I blame that request. Most of the changes have already been covered in prior lugnet postings under the "BrickOS Patches (...) (15 years ago, 15-Sep-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | RE: Major breakthrough serial wise.
| Soirry for the late reply, I've been on a sudden business trip and was unable to get to my email... (...) Great! I would leave the basic serial stuff alone and enable interrupt driven serial IO in a separate set of words, like RCX_INIT and (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| (...) I'm confusing everybody by asking questions that imply that I am changing existing code. I do not touch existing code. The question about where to enable the interrupt is a final cleanup one. It is not what I am doing now. I have not touched (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| Will the lnp task which is doing the receiving only wake up the next layer up if the message is properly formed. Currently here is my program -- start of longish bit of code -- #include <conio.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <dsensor.h> #include (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: Another new RcxCC version
| hi John, looks good, but I can't use it yet. The main problem I have is that I can't see my templates. At once I found them, a window 10 pixels win width and 25 pixels in height, and I can't get it bigger. Am I doing something wrong ? Very nice (...) | | Re: fast firmware downloader
| (...) Erm, hrm, well... the reason I didn't ship it yet is that it won't compile with any released version of legOS. In order to gain full configurability, I had to set up a seperate directory structure, with its own include tree and stripped down (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: avoid messaging
| (...) If you have an event waiting for a message, I doubt it will have much impact on the speed of the rest of the program. However, this will not catch the messages you're looking for. You can't use the "mail" function to receive op-code, such as (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Electrical Data Link between 2 RCXs
| It's me again with the subject "electrical datalink between 2 RCXs" (I posted some articles a couple of weeks ago). This subject may seem trivial but in fact it is not. Dealing with it, I discovered some "unpleasanties" in the general execution of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

I have been working on a different project toward the same end-- improved train layout automation, and I have had similar questions as to whether it is worth the effort for the small number of people who might actually benefit from it. | | Re: BricxCC release 3.3.7.10

Or, more accurately, I have written just a few of the help (...) (19 years ago, 11-Oct-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
