1. I am only using Robolab 2.5 to drive Control Lab. Prior to 2.5 I was using Robolab 2.0 with the free Lego Engineer software to drive the interface. 		Which terminal on Linux? plus random thoughts.
I'm interested in other people's experience with various terminal emulators on Linux. I've been using minicom with indifferent results, probably because it doesn't support delays between lines which possibly overruns pbforth's serial input. minicom (...) 		firmdl3 problem? - Tower not responding
Hi.. I am having problems making firmdl3 work.. I have compiled it on a Linux box (Mandrake 6.0) and I get 'tower not responding' but the LED is coming on.. Embarrased look sorry I shouldn't of missed that.. Sorry to hassle you but I am stuck yet again. The lnptest program just records collision after collision. I've successfully implemented an idle powerdown into the legOS kernel. On more than one occasion I have left my RCX on overnight, resulting in the need to buy a new set of batteries. Dave's reply is right on the mark, but I also want to point out that if you have downloaded a non-MindStorms O.S. to the RCX (i.e. any firmware other than the standard LEGO MindStorms firmware) the remote might not work either.
