| (...) Oh, yes it does. Quite a bit more, actually. The original GBA still runs about $70, I believe, or the GBA SP will hit you for $100. $269 gets you both the XRC and the basic no-frills Xport that connects it to the GBA ($338 will get you the (...) | | 64bit driver for the LEGO USB Tower
| Is it safe to say that LEGO will not be creating a 64bit driver for the USB Tower? Is there anyone here that could? What would it take? It would be really nice to have one before LEGO completely drops support for the RCX system. (16 years ago, 16-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Extending IR communications
| Hello all. The mirror trick works for sending the signals from the IR tower to the RCX (I'm only using a single RCX). However, the return signal the RCX wants to send to the tower isn't transmitted across the mirror. Since you mentioned leJOS and (...) (19 years ago, 8-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| Thanks for the response. (...) It seems to me it's a design flaw in the entire method of counting rotations, which relies on the theoretical ideal of "instantaneous" voltage changes, which can't be produced. You can't go from 2V to 5V without (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

| In terms of power requirements and battery life, has anyone here actually quantified how much of a difference that makes? Its a damn good idea - as long as you have white, and relatively flat ceilings. If you dont want/are not able to reposition (...) (19 years ago, 6-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Use of LNP under Windows
| Hello I'd like to send sensor values from the RCX to my PC. In this forum I've read that I can do this with the help of LNPD. The OS on my PC is Win 2000, I'm using Cygwin to compile my BrickOS programs, my IR-Tower is connected to an USB port. Is (...) (21 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| Hi, Wonder if I can get some help in this forum, hope so ;) I've been trying to download the firmware (standard) to a RCX. After I turn it on, the cone signal blinks, and it accepts communication with the IR tower. Then it starts downloading and in (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
