I think what you're looking for is the MIT handy board. Take a look at (URL) is a 68HC11 Micro controller with expansion boards, servo outputs, digital outputs, lot's of neat stuff. fyi- There was a pretty nasty (and stupid) bug in 2.4 a3 that would cause a crash if no serial port was specified (either with a -S option or the RCX_PORT environment var). I've fixed it and posted an update (2.4 a4). I suggest that anyone using a3 (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

I, too, have been at it for three weeks. gcc and bintools build OK under cygwin, but when it gets to the cross-compiler, the whole make process craps out. The compile fails because some of the cross-compiler sources are (complaining about) missing (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

As Mike pointed out, it is a hyper-threading problem. The reason for winXP not working, but W2K works, may very well be that W2K does not support hyperthreading feature, but WinXP does. I wonder if Mike or anyone does indeed disable the (...) (21 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

Sigh. Doesn't look like there is any chance that this would work for *nix, except maybe with severe Wine hackery. Has anyone else (with any of the other alternative OSs) tackled the problem of the new towers? I suppose I can try plying one of my (...) Ok, I think I figured it out...I don't completely understand the logistics of makefiles, but I changed the following line in Makefile.common: Before: CFLAGS = -O2 -Wall After: CFLAGS += -O2 -Wall I suspect that a later assignment to CFLAGS was (...) Hello, I have recently downloaded the legos-0.2.6 version and have built it under windows Cygwin. when I give the command being in the boot directory where legOS.srec is export RCXTTY=USB ../util/firmdl3 legOS.srec it says USB: No such file or (...)
