  rotation sensors

Hello, one of my beautiful new rotation sensors was jammed right out of the box. I built a robot to try out dynamic equilibrum, i.e., balancing a weighted stick, only to notice that my construction didn't turn at all because of sensor friction. (...)   RF Connection To RCX

Hi I have found the IR in RCX limiting, especially because of its line of sight problem. I'm interested in developing an RF interface to RCX. Anybody has any experience, knowledge, suggestions, tips in this area? Any pointers would be greatly (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I had a similar problem and suggested used the three cable method you mentioned with great success. Before I tried this I sent an inquiry to Dacta and got this response "There is an issue with some Macintosh serial ports that we are currently (...)   Re: OO programing in RCX

Thank you, David. Your gode is great! I learned a lot from your quick example, though I prefer Java more. I will encapsulate RCX commands in some utility objects and use them in more higher level objects. What I focus now is make a RF/IR adapter to (...)   GPS for RCX

The standard RCX firmware with its serial protocol could not talk to a GPS, but LegOS could. With LegOS and a GPS we could make robots that could tell where they were. This would be way cool. I want a solar powered toy robot boat with GPS that can (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) The URL is: (URL) in the nick of time? The original firmdl.c was dated 10/3/98. It is currently 10/3/99 (PDT at least). This was not planned! Like firmdl.c, firmdl3.c is a single file joined from smaller ones for simplicity. I will link a .tgz (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Ultimate Expansion set Remote Control?

the LNP stuff is neat, but it seem's that the remote control isn't using either "integrity" or "addressing" protocol how do I access directly the incoming IR buffer ??
