Hello fellow LEGO maniacs. My latest MindStorms "robot" is rather unusual. It has only ONE wheel, NO motors, two touch sensors, one light sensors, and a bunch of rubberbands. What is that?! I put some info on what I have found using a camera with the Mars Expansion Pack on my small web pages. The USB cable is not a good umbilical, stiff. I'm pretty sure that i have used the feature in the software w/o a problem to set the autoshut to another time interval, including never shutting off. I know this doesn't exactly answer the question, but maybe its a bug somewhere that will resolve (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi, My RCX shuts off automatically after about 5 min. The set-up options in the RCX software tells me its set for 15. Is this min. or sec.? There are two different versions of the RCX. Unfortunately, they are both labeled "RCX 1.0". The one that comes with the Robotics Invention System 1.0 has a power adapter input and the one that comes with RIS 1.5 does not. It is possible to use (...)
