YOu need the pcocde for the HB, the special as11 assembler, and a shell script facility for the as11_ic program. these are all pthere. look at (...) I downloaded pcode_pc.zip from Cherupaka, but the .asm file included talks about "Rough Warrior" not handy board... also there are a number of defines to supply... there are two assemble-time constants LCD_ROWS and LCD_COLS that can be changed to build new versions of the pcode_hb.s19 file for different LCDs. but is sounds like your 20x4 display is incompatible altogether---you should see something. i would (...) Please, anyone has any suggestion to solve this problem? I haven't used the LCD display in the parts list, but one LCD 20 char by 4 rows... why? 8^) well, I've got 3 of this around and to buy another seemed not so good idea! This display doesn't (...) (...) Thanks Fred. Turned out I had a damaged MAX232 chip on the charger board that was powering up the handyboard via the TXD or RXD line. Once the chip was removed the 1.4V on the handyboard went away. I believe this also damaged the HC11, so now (...) (28 years ago, 2-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi Curt, something is wrong with your board. 1stly, the red LED should be completely off when in boot download mode. this is stated repeatedly in the doc's, but i reiterate it here. 2nd, you should not have 1.4v on the CPU when pwr is off. i don't (...) I hate replying to my own posts, but I think I know a bit more about the problem now, therefore different questions are in order. Answer to my first question: It looks like the HC11 is supposed to automatically clear the EEPROM, CONFIG, and RAM if (...) (28 years ago, 1-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Help! I'm trying to get my handyboard to go into download mode via the STOP/Power-On sequence, and it doesn't go into the correct mode. The PWR LED doesn't go out when I do this sequence. Have tried downloading with DLM, HBDL, and DL to no avail (...) (28 years ago, 1-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

but the incoming directory is disabled. i don't see any way around this problem; if there are incoming directories, it seems this gang of crackers will find them. i would still like to encourage people to contribute robotics related stuff, but it (...)
