  Expanding HandyBoard
 
Can I use more 74hc374s in conjunction with the Y0 to Y5 lines on the Expansion bus to give me more digital outputs. Could I then just "poke" to change values. Hi Tery, The average_sensor() procedure prodive average reading of a given analog port (the first parameter of the function). I have a 1 meg quicktime movie of the honda hominid robot.... (I'm saying hominid because it sounds better than 2 legger... if there is a better word.. please inform me...) One other thing. When I try to load IC, it never syncs with the HB. I am fairly certain that I have IC configured correctly. Initially, I was not able to get the board to config at 0x0c. I got this to work by using DL and some of its command line options. Once I got this to work and set config at 0x0c, then HBDL worked just fine. My new problem is that I can not get the (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

just to add a bit, the chips that can be bad if you can't bootstrap are the 6811, the RAM, the 'hc04, and the soldered-down 'hc373. If you have any easy way of swapping first 3 of these 4 these chips, try it. Fred (...) ? (...) co (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Lisa you could also use the HEXMON40 program you might already be familiar with from the Mini Board. Basically all you have to do is change the motor out and vector location definitions. you easily could have blown chips if the vreg was shorted. then you're putting the direct batt voltage into the chips. just about any chip could be blown. sorry for the bad news! i'd try ordering the socketed parts from jameco and swap chips. fred (...)
