just to add a bit, the chips that can be bad if you can't bootstrap are the 6811, the RAM, the 'hc04, and the soldered-down 'hc373. If you have any easy way of swapping first 3 of these 4 these chips, try it. Fred (...) ? (...) co (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: serial interface

Lisa you could also use the HEXMON40 program you might already be familiar with from the Mini Board. Basically all you have to do is change the motor out and vector location definitions. See the FAQ for the memory map of the Handy Board. (URL) your (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Initial Download Problems

you easily could have blown chips if the vreg was shorted. then you're putting the direct batt voltage into the chips. just about any chip could be blown. sorry for the bad news! i'd try ordering the socketed parts from jameco and swap chips. fred (...)   Re: tic2int

(...) You are indexing off the X register without ever setting it. To access the TIC2INT interrupt vector I think you first need to do LDX #$BF00 To access the other things like TCTL2 etc first do LDX #$1000 Good luck, /Max (27 years ago, 29-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Initial Download Problems

I have had my HB for more than a year, and have had no problems with it at all, until now. The first problem was that I would fully charge the battery, but when I removed the Charger, the HB would suck all of the power within fifteen minutes. Then a (...) (...) Sure: Solder a wire to the "BATTERY +", add 2 resistors to make a voltage divider (to divide the battery ABSOLUTE MAX condition, say about 12V, down to about 4 volts for the analog 0-5v range), and feed it into an ANALOG input point.
