The answer is no, what I used is the schematic diagram for the Polaroid 6500 rangefinder board. the circuit is almost identical exept for a transistor preamp betwen the transducer and the receiver. does anybody out there have any schematics for using the polaroid transducers on the handyboard, I have two such transducers, but havint got a clue how they work or how to connect them to the handyboard. I've used the sonar board and transducer from several Polaroid "Pronto Land Cameras" for just that purpose in that past. I don't know how these compare to the Spectra; I would assume they're similar if not identical. There was an article in an old (...) (27 years ago, 21-Sep-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Did anyone ever opened up a Polaroid Spectra Instant camera? I did. The sonar rangefinder is almost identical to the Polaroid 6500 exept there are some problems that I encountered 1) BLNK and BINH have no efect on the ECHO output 2) The ECHO signal (...) I wanna make something around 8 volts and between .5 to 1 amp The load will be that of a "modified" rc car motor (ball bearings, slot armature, 15 winds) Any help would be greatly appreciated (...)
