Dear Ram, I have not run into the exact problem which you describe, but I have some ideas which may be beneficial anyway. Ah, the classic "I built it and it doesn't work" story. Did you follow the incremental building instructions? I take it the answer is no. yes, it is possible for an ic program to use the serial port. see randy's instructions at (URL) this question was answered and archived in Handy Board e-mail archive. I was wondering if using a 7.2 volt battery instead of the recommended 9.6 volt battery would require and HB modifications? (...) are you sure you have enough voltage on the adapter? You need at least 16- 18 v open circuit, or an adapter rated for 12 volts at 500 mA. When I connect the DC adaptor to the interface board (which is connected to the HB which is OFF) after a while the yellow led of the Intf Board get dimmmer and dimmer ... it light off ..
