  Mindstorm pong player

Just found this video: (URL) a RCX robot using vision command (or a derrivative) to play pong on a real screen! -Rob A> (20 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: new Mindstorms servos?

Hi, (...) in the video I counted about eight revolutions in 5 seconds, that would put it at about 96 rpm. Jürgen (20 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: GBC and NXT...so bright I gotta wear shades

(...) I have built a GBC ball counting module, that work perfectly well. The trick is to use a LEGO lamp in front of a light sensor, with the balls passing between them (you must also be sure that balls arrive one at a time). Using NQC events based (...)   Re: mindstorms NXT and memory

(...) That sounds pretty interesting as a GBA is a decent controller compared to celphone buttons. But, is there a programming language that covers enough celphones? This would make that project more practical for the range of impact. There is (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) From the picture, that is connected as an input, and the video posted by Yann shows this rotating under NXT control. It looks to me like it can be EITHER a rotation sensor or motor, but not both.... (20 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) It must be a possibility, because somebody has already done it. Check out this Ericsson bluetoooth controlled camera/robot: (URL) I'm missing it, however, the article doesn't mention resolution or frame rate. It can't be too good, considering (...) I don't know if someone got this post but since I couldn't find it on the lugnet site then I guess it got lost somewhere. Here it goes again: (...) computer's worth of memory (at a slower rate? (...) Rob- Bluetooth is a master-slave topology allowing communication through master units. No slave-slave communication is possible via the current spec (heh heh research people are working on this as well). A small network of bluetooth devices is (...)   Re: new Mindstorms servos?

(...) The speed of the motor attached to another robot in the video shows that its speed is significantly slower than the 71427 motors supplied with the RCX 1.0 to 2.0. I suggest more like 60-100rpm rather than 300. This gives more torque for the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Hi Steve, (...) Not so sure about that. I would try to use the bluetooth link and let my computer do the video, audio or mapping work. I did that kind of thing with the RCX and the IR connection and it was a nightmare sometimes, it only worked (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Although I think there's two things to watch out for here. First, if you have continuous monitoring of the encoders, you could have speed control (in other words, the speed in the video may not be the maximum, but something less). Second, (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Controlling RoboSapien & family from RCX
