 | | Frustration with NXT-G 1.1
|
| It's been a LONG time since I've posted. I was thrilled when my wife presented me with an NXT for our anniversary, and have really enjoyed its capabilities. We migrated our MindStorms@Work group to use the NXT, and dug into NXT-G (since we already (...) (18 years ago, 13-May-08, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Great Ball Contraption at BrickFest '06
|
| There has not been a great deal of public discussion about having a Great Ball Contraption at BrickFest '06, but there WILL be a GBC at BF06. If you missed your chance last year, when we had almost fifty modules, now is the time to start building. (...) | | RoboCam & Careful aim...
|
| A video tidbit I've had rattling around since House of Bricks. The first part is NXT combat, with three remote controled robots (that's six NXT sets altogether). The camera is mounted on a robot driven by John Brost, with my robot being the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Re: thoughts on gbc module reliability
|
| (...) I've worked with these as well. They look nice, and like Steve I have some modules that can handle them, and some that can't. More interesting (to me) is that a simple mechanical sorter works great, so potentially you could have a GBCm that (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | RE: Great Ball Contraption
|
| I think the site would be more valuable if it focused JUST on GBC. I gave up on it as a resource after poking around and not finding sufficient GBC information. I'm a complete newbie, no real idea what GBC is. The front page says "It can't be (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

| Microsoft recently announced incremental evolution of their earlier "Robotics Studio" platform. See www.microsoft.com/pr...udioPR.msp x. Soren Lund of Lego is quoted in the press release. It appears to me that this initiative is not really (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Camera vs. ROBOLAB, Round 1

| So here I was, minding my own business and enjoying the last day of my first week of summer vacation, when suddenly an idea popped into my head. This idea was to use my Vision Command camera in conjunction with ROBOLAB 2.5.4, because I had seen (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)
