The Digger with the nifty screw is set number 8851 from 1984 (wow I feel
old)

Was this part every in another set? it's a fairly general purpose part but
I've only got the one. (and 5 nuts)

Cheers
Tim

There was at one time a double threaded rod that came with
little nuts.  I
have exactly one that came with an early Pneumatic Digger (it
was used to
firmly hold the Digger to it's tracks by bolting the two
together!)  but I
have used it in other projects for exactly the sort of thing
you are talking
about.

I have no idea where you would get one now.

Cheers
Tim

Subject: Worm Drive Question

I am trying to make an Elevator sort of mechanisim using a worm drive.
Currently, I have done a real poor workaround
to what should be simple, if the right part existed.

I have included a picture of what I would really like... "The
Ideal Setup".

I have also included a picture of my workaround...

Can anyone Suggest something cleaner?
